To be honest, not much can be said about this film; and that’s a good thing. It’s a story of a SWAT team going into an apartment complex run by a notorious crime lord. But to get to him they need to get through their inhabitants. The previews were filled with non-stop action aside from breaks to further the plot. Yeah there are clever twists and turns that add to the tensity of this film but you honestly don’t care. You’re there to see a movie filled with ass kicking and there is plenty to go around from gun battles to knife fights to hand-to-hand combat. With interesting new types of death and refreshing martial arts action, this film will not disappoint. My ONLY gripe is the soundtrack. The previews made it a point to tell you that Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park was composing the soundtrack. Whether you are a fan of LP or not, making a point like that raises expectations. Those expectations were not met. The soundtrack sounds like any other action film soundtrack: basic and redundant which is FAR from what this film is. See it in theaters if you get the chance.
