What’s it about?
“The Good Dinosaur” asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.” – Disney

Nate’s Two Cents?
I went into the movie pretty much blind, maybe having seen only a tv spot for the flick. After I came out I immediately knew I liked what I had just seen. The movie reminds of the 80’s classic The Land Before Time, which is most definitely a good thing. I did a full write-up this past November so be sure to read more about the film and what it meant for Pixar over here. Give this a watch if you get the chance!

What’s it about?
“SPOTLIGHT tells the riveting true story of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Boston Globe investigation that would rock the city and cause a crisis in one of the world’s oldest and most trusted institutions. When the newspaper’s tenacious “Spotlight” team of reporters delves into allegations of abuse in the Catholic Church, their year-long investigation uncovers a decades-long cover-up at the highest levels of Boston’s religious, legal, and government establishment, touching off a wave of revelations around the world. Directed by Academy Award-nominee Tom McCarthy, SPOTLIGHT is a tense investigative dramatic-thriller, tracing the steps to one of the biggest cover-ups in modern times.” – Open Road

Nate’s Two Cents?
It took me a while to finally see this movie but I’m glad I got to catch it. One of the best movies from last year for sure and the movie the Catholic church most definitely doesn’t want you to see. The performances are amazing and add to a story so compelling you will be in awe that this massive cover-up actually occurred. Be sure to rent or pick up a copy this week, you’ll be glad you did.

Netflix Instant Watch Pick

Fuller House

Who’s in it?
Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Soni Bringas, Michael Campion, Elias Harger, Dashiell and Fox Messitt

What’s it about?
“Recently widowed D.J. Tanner-Fuller gets help from her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy when the women move in with their families to help D.J. raise her children in this spin-off series.” – Rotten Tomatoes

Nate’s Two Cents?
If you are like me you have been waiting for this show ever since it was first announced. The shows first season premieres this Friday on Netflix and here’s hoping they’ve re-caught the magic of the original show. The show is definitely gonna be a show on its own, just in the same universe at the original with some cameos. Saget and Coulier are both credited with 1 episode appearance and Stamos with 2 so…don’t expect to see them much. Either way I’m very hopeful that this new generation of the show will entertain and can’t wait to watch.
