What’s It About?
Devil is the simple story of five strangers stuck in an elevator. Each stranger starts to die one by one, leaving them to wonder who is the killer.

What We Thought:

Jess: For me, this movie was a little too simple and laid out for me. I would rather be able to have more guessing and discovering room when watching a thriller. Except for one part, all of the scary moments took place in the dark which left a little too much to the imagination for my taste. This isn’t a terrible movie but I could have skipped it.

Lindsay: I quite enjoyed Devil. I walked into the movie really expecting to tear it apart but became involved in the simplicity of the plot. It worked for me because there was no worry that the movie would go off the deep end, as a lot of Shamalamaman movies do. The movie built tension well and wrapped up rather neatly. With that said, I am really intrigued to see where this ‘Night Chronicles’ series goes.
