Five weeks from today will be May the Fourth; Star Wars Day. We’ve already drank enough to forget about Jar-Jar Binks and the introduction of “Midi-chlorians”, so let’s take it one step further and drink to Star Wars Episode Two: Attack of the Clones. This film sees a romance emerge as we begin to discover the true nature of the Sith. We even see a LOT and I mean A LOT of foreshadowing not just for this film, but for the rest of the saga; can you spot it all? Even if you can’t, be prepared to get good and drunk as you play the Star Wars Episode Two: Attack of the Clones FTS Drinking Game! May the force be with you… as well as a hangover remedy.

In episode II of the Star Wars saga, we learn how the Clone Army is created. This army plays a large role in the creation of the Galactic Empire. On the topic of clones, Dogfish Head’s Theobroma is itself something of a clone. The beer is based off of the chemical analysis of a 3000-year-old pot found in a Honduras. Dogfish Head recreated a beer that had been enjoyed by Honduran people a long time ago that was brewed with cocoa, honey, chilies, and annatto (which has a flavor similar to a mix of pepper and nutmeg). Attack of the Clones is the longest movie in either of the Star Wars trilogies, so having a complex brew to go along with it will help balance things out. Despite the ingredients list, Theobroma is a very smooth beer and the tastes meld together well. With the film, however, it is more apparent that there is a lot going on as they packed a lot of story into this one.
