What’s it about?
“HOLIDAYS is an anthology feature film that puts a uniquely dark and original spin on some of the most iconic and beloved holidays of all time. The film challenges our folklore, traditions and assumptions, making HOLIDAYS a celebration of the horror on those same special days’ year after year. A collaboration of some of Hollywood’s most distinct voices, the directors include Kevin Smith (Tusk), Gary Shore (Dracula Untold), Scott Stewart (Dark Skies), Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer (Starry Eyes), Sarah Adina Smith (The Midnight Swim), Nicholas McCarthy (The Pact) Adam Egypt Mortimer (Some Kind of Hate) and Anthony Scott Burns (Darknet).” – Rotten Tomatoes

Nate’s Two Cents?
Ever since the trailer for this horror anthology was released I have been eagerly awaiting the VOD release. I forgot this movie was coming out until I happened to see people posting that they were watching it. I’m a huge fan of a good horror anthology and with all the great names associated with this one I figured it would be interesting. This anthology has a bit of everything including the creepy, the strange, the sadistic and the downright brutal imagery that is delivered onto your home theatre screen. I didn’t love every short but overall I really enjoyed this. It’s good for a night in with a significant other or even with a few friends and some pizzas! I REALLY enjoyed Kevin Smith’s short that he directed…so good. Anywho give it a shot and go online and rent it from Amazon, iTunes, Vudu, Playstation Store or wherever else you rent things from these days.

Nate’s Two Cents?
This was one of my favorite movies that I have seen in the last year and also the film that finally earned Leo his Oscar. Everything from the way the film was shot, the powerful performances and even the amazing score all come together perfectly and create an amazing adventure for the viewer. If you still have not seen this movie then please check it out this week. Also Nick and I co-reviewed the movie at the beginning of the year so be sure to check out what we thought! [Full Review]

Norm of the North

“A polar bear of many words, Norm’s greatest gripe is simple: there is no room for tourists in the Arctic. But when a maniacal developer threatens to build luxury condos in his own backyard, Norm does what all normal polar bears would do…he heads to New York City to stop it. With a cast of ragtag lemmings at his side, Norm takes on the big apple, big business and a big identity crisis to save the day.” – Lionsgate
