What’s it about?

These highly trained operatives are hellbent on creating a new world order through an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces their most impossible mission yet.” – Rotten Tomatoes

Nate’s Two Cents?
I’ve long been a fan of the Tom Cruise starring film series ever since seeing the first film almost two decades ago. It’s kinda crazy that it’s been that long. The newest installment wasn’t anything unexpected, just Cruise and company kicking ass and making their way through difficult scenarios. I actually didn’t like it as much as Ghost Protocol, but I still really dug it. If you’re looking for a badass action flick this week, this is the flick to check out for sure.

ted2

Ted 2

Who’s in it?
Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane, Amanda Seyfried, Jessica Barth, Morgan Freeman

What’s it about?
“Newlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he’s a person in a court of law.”

Nate’s Two Cents?
I was really hoping this sequel would be as good as its predecessor, but unfortunately it was not. It left me wanting more most of the movie and honestly really wasn’t that funny. Also the story was kind of week, especially how they very quickly make up a poor excuse for why Mila Kunis’ character is no longer around. If you’re looking for some cheap laughs then by all means check this flick out, it will at least have you laughing at the very least.

Red Oaks (Season 1)

Who’s in it?
Paul Reiser, Richard Kind, Jennifer Grey, Ennis Esmer, Gage Golightly, Craig Roberts, Oliver Cooper, Alexandra Socha

What’s it about?
“An assistant tennis pro tries to figure out his future while working at a country club in suburban New Jersey.” – Rotten Tomatoes

Nate’s Two Cents?
I stumbled across this series the other day while my Netflix was down. After about one episode I was already hooked. The show comes from director David Gordon Green and is an amazing portrayal of life in the 80’s for anyone who remembers that far back. The cast is amazing and the story that plays out is even better. I highly recommend you check out Amazon’s newest original series when you get a chance.
