Welcome back movie lovers! I’m back again for another look at the home video releases for the week for all you faithful FTS readers. This week we have a couple exciting releases to talk about so lets just get started.

American Ultra

Who’s in it?

What’s it about?
“American Ultra is a fast-paced action comedy about Mike (Eisenberg), a seemingly hapless and unmotivated stoner whose small-town life with his live-in girlfriend, Phoebe (Stewart), is suddenly turned upside down. Unbeknownst to him, Mike is actually a highly trained, lethal sleeper agent. In the blink of an eye, as his secret past comes back to haunt him, Mike is thrust into the middle of a deadly government operation and is forced to summon his inner action-hero in order to survive.” – Lionsgate

Nate’s Two Cents?
This movie ended up surprising me and was much more fun than I thought it was going to be after seeing the trailers. It’s basically a stoner action/comedy about a sleeper agent. I remember enjoying the movie quite a bit and thinking it was quite funny as well. The film is the follow-up film from director Nima Nourozadeh, who last directed Project X back in 2012. The screenplay was written by none other than Max Landis, who if you remember wrote Chronicle. If you’re looking for something fun to watch this week in between all the holiday activities, then why not give American Ultra a watch.

Kung Fury

Who’s in it?
David Sandberg, Eleni Young, Helene Ahlson, Jorma Taccone, Leopold Nilsson

What’s it about?
“A Miami martial artist cop travels back in time to kill kung fuhrer Hitler.”

Nate’s Two Cents?
Words can’t describe this epic action short. It everything 80’s and retro action you want in only 30 minutes. Watch this on Netflix now, you will have a blast!!

No Escape

Ricki and the Flash

Shaun the Sheep
