THE FINAL FOUR MATCHUPS! This match up pits Hans Landa from Inglourious Basterds vs. Hans Gruber from Die Hard. Which baddie would be able to pull off his/her villainous scheme? Take a look at our character breakdowns and tell us who you think is the bigger threat.
Of course, Nazis are the worst but this guy is on another level. He definitely would still be killing people even if he didn’t have Nazi Germany as an excuse because he loves the hunt way more than he hates Jews. He’s so chilling that he can make the delightful creme on your pastry curdle with a single stare.
Strengths: Highly intelligent and observant, masterful at tracking down people, loyal to no one but his own interests
Weaknesses: Ego makes him believe he’s untouchable
Hans Gruber is the one, the only, true Die Hard villain. He’s the original eastern European ne’er-do-well who leads a gang of goons bent on fundraising at anyone’s expense. Hans has a few things going for him: he is clearly able to work a crowd, he can get people bought in and ready for a fight; He is a master of deception, whether it’s faking an accent or lulling someone into a false sense of security, he’s got it. Also his sheer sense of cunning and ability to plan out a perfect operation makes him a capable foe.
Strengths: Arrogant, deceptive and meticulous planner.
Weaknesses: Inability to handle things on his own. He is an administrator not an operator. One on one, whether fists or guns, he probably doesn’t make it out alive.
