Maybe you’re looking to save a few bucks or the current theater choices just aren’t cutting it. Whatever the case may be, sometimes it’s just as nice to sit a home and watch a good flick. Take a look at this week’s picks for some At-Home Alternatives to the weekly cinema options.

Instead of American Reunion: Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion

I thought about suggesting some of the previous installments in the American Pie series but chances are, if you don’t want to check out American Reunion, you probably won’t want to watch any of the prior films. But Romy and Michele is a movie that also centers around a High School reunion with a completely different sense of comedic sensibilities. Instead of raunchy sex jokes, R&MHSR plays more of a dumb and lovable aspect. The two goofy leads offer plenty of silly fun while also remaining endearing BFFs.

Instead of Titanic 3D: Titanic

Just watch it at home! Is it really that important to see a movie about a big boat in 3D? Come on guys.

We Bought A Zoo

Cameron Crow has hit some home runs in his day, but he’s also tipped a few fowl balls as well. We Bought A Zoo is a base hit. Wow that was one too many shitty baseball analogies wasn’t it? Anyway, the film isn’t an all out winner but it is greatly helped by it’s likable cast. Getting over the saccharine premise there is still plenty left to enjoy.

The Lincoln Lawyer

While fellow FTSer Nick wasn’t in love with the movie, I really dug it. Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei, William H. Macy and even Ryan Phillippe do a great job in this sleazy little law drama. If you’re into 90’s thrillers I think you’ll find this film to be an entertaining treat.

The Lincoln Lawyer Netflix Synopsis: Tasked with defending rich lothario Louis Roulet, who’s been charged with assault, lawyer Mick Haller finds himself and his family in danger when he deduces the truth behind this and former cases he’s worked on.

What do you plan on watching this week, at home or otherwise? What do you think of my choices?
