Jess: When you set your expectations fairly low it’s never a good sign when a movie can’t even meet the bare minimum. This is one of those movies. There is no real redeeming quality to What’s Your Number?. Despite Anna Faris and Chris Evans usually being pretty charming they can’t even try to save this movie. The script is so horrible that most of the time Lindsay and I looked at each other saying “Really???”. The writer threw together so many ideas that had nothing to do with each other while leaving too much unexplained such as Faris’ extraordinary basketball skills that are revealed in a totally corny scene. Faris and Evans have little chemistry together once they actually hookup compared to earlier scenes where they are hanging out as friends and their connection rings false. When it comes down to it, this film is incredibly uninspired even for a rom-com.
