Lindsay: As a critic, I can’t really give this movie any accolades. The story is muddled and the pacing is bad. There are scenes added to the film that have no real reason for being there and the acting is truly awful (although the dude who plays Officer does an amazing job at pulling every cop cliche he could think of into his performance. But as a fan of the series I can point out things I did enjoy. I think the ending, as well as the the return of Dr. Gordon is something the fans have waited a while for. I get the feeling still that there is more to be told with the story even though this is the “final chapter.” Also the more I reflect on the ending, the more I appreciated it. It actually cleared up some things that seemed at first to be glaring plot holes (not that there wasn’t still a lot left over, but it helped.) All in all I honestly can ONLY recommend this Saw to the hardcore fans and as a self proclaimed fan to some extent I’m pretty glad to see this series loosing steam and coming to what we can hope is a close. Oh, and the 3D was pointless as expected.

Really enjoyable movie. It may not be perfect in all aspects but it was worth the watch.
